The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential designates a professional accountant licensed by a state who can work in many fields. CPAs offer a wide range of assistance, including accounting, business financial, tax advisory, management consulting, forensic, litigation, technology and valuation services. CPA certification shows strategic preparation and dedication that result in credibility that is well-respected in communities and by business leaders. Hoffman Clark professionals are licensed CPAs and also hold Forensic and Valuation Services specialty credentials.
The AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Section’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) program provides specialized access to information, education, tools and support that enhance credential holders’ ability to make a genuine difference for their clients and employers. ABV credential holders may brand or position themselves as premier business valuation service providers who differentiate themselves by going beyond the core service of reaching a conclusion of value and creating value for clients through the strategic application of this analysis.
The AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Section’s CPA specialty credential in forensic accounting is the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). The CFF combines specialized forensic accounting expertise with the core knowledge and skills that make CPAs among the most trusted business advisers. The CFF encompasses fundamental and specialized forensic accounting skills that CPA practitioners apply in a variety of service areas, including: bankruptcy, insolvency and reorganization; computer forensic analysis; economic damages calculations; fraud prevention, detection and response; financial statement misrepresentation; and valuations.
